Dear friends,
I have a D handle 1618EVS Bosch router but not the Bosch plunge base that fits the motor.
I already have a goo router table with a P.C. 7518 but want to make an inverted pin router, and with a foot lever, would plunge into the work piece from underneath.
Is any one using that Bosch plunge base in a router table, even if not as an inverted pin router?
Does that base allow for setting the lock lever in the release position? Would the router, if so, be not tight, and the cut not reliable, or other problems?
Thanks a lot.

The 1166 casting is a self locking plunger. An excellent design with no provision to disarm the lock lever in an open position.

Thank you much, Routerman.
