Any reason one should not buy an $89 Raizer instead of a $300 lifter? Looks like a good product. Also, what plate would be best for installing in cabinet saw extension?
Thanks

I have the router raizer and it works fine, although it is not the easiest thing to install (I have the PC 3 HP plunge router on my table), mostly because of dealing will the various springs on the router.
I use a heavy plate from woodhaven. I made my own extension table out of MDF with a laminate top surface
IMHO the Router Razier is a good value for the money. I installed one in my PC 690 plunge base several years ago. It took me the better part of a saturday afternon to complete the installation as there is some "fussy" work involved. It has worked fine for me until I got a PC 890 for Christmas.
I can't speak to the Raizer but my PRL works flawlessly after thousands of bf of shaping/molding cherry, white oak and hard maple. Assuming the product works, buy based on what will serve your ww needs. Regarding the Raizer or similar products, the post regarding what happens when you upgrade your router is an important consideration. You also want to be careful to purchase or construct a base plate from a material that will not distort and can be leveled to the top.
