I have glued up some walnut boards for an entertainment center.  Some of the pieces exceed the width of my 15″ planer so I have been trying to smooth them out with hand planes.  Once I got the plane blades sharpened and aligned they worked pretty well but I still have difficulty getting everything even.  I am very interested in finding any good plans for one of those router cross-rail sleds I’ve heard about.  Anyone know where I could find some drawings?  Are these jigs made commercially?
