I recently purchased a used (blue) Jet (cabinet style), 2 hp. table saw with a 52″ Biesemeyer fence, the previous owner had mounted a router in the right side extension table for use as a shaper. I an interested in seeing some drawings or information on building a good fence for this unit. I owned a shaper yrs ago, but am trying to get a handle on whether to build a separate fence or use a clamp on device to the existing saw fence.
Anyone have any plans or articles they could refer me to that cover this?
I am also interested in plans for a “sled ” for this same table saw.

I have that same set-up and I just made a few clamp-on fences to accomodate different router bits. Meaning the fence would have to have a cut-out the size of 1/2 of a bit with a bearing, or a cut-out the size of a straight bit if I only wanted to expose a portion of the bit.
I just clamp one end of the fence lightly and then pull it, slowly and carefully, into the bit to bury the bit as far as I want.
I suppose you could add a wood edge to the existing table saw fence and I have used it as a router fence when doing dados and such, when the router bit will not be close to the table saw fence. My table saw fence is an Excaliber.

Thanks to both of you for the information. I will be doing something on this soon.
