Afternoon to all, I’m setting up my small shop and I’m looking for plans on building a router table. It may be bench mounted or floor style. Can any one help me here in California? Thanks much,Stan

Get Carol Reeds Router Joinry Workshop book. Or troll the net for plans - there are tons. a lot of people have built Norms from New Yankee Workshop - can order the plans from them. Almost any book on router work and jigs will have plans for different ones - check out your local library
1 - measure the board twice
2 - cut it once
3 - measure the space where it is supposed to go
4 - get a new board and go back to step 1
Go to http://www.patwarner.com. I have used a router table, fancy Woodsmith version, for 15+ years. I changed the top per Pat's recommendation and am thrilled. His 0.75" MDF with frame understructure and bolting router base to table is just the best - strong, stable, simple, no sag like with any router plate. Get the Milwaukee 5625 router and you have a great combination without the expense of a router lift. The Milwaukee 5625 has a micro adjust that can be used below or above the table. The body is easily removable for changing bits.
TOM, THANKS FOR THE GOOD INFO,I WILL CHECK IT OUT.SOUNDS LIKE WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR. HOWEVER,I ALREADY HAVE A PORTA-CABLE 1001 PLUNGE ROUTER,I HOPE IT FITS. STAN
