There have been a number of post about router tables, where to put them in the shop, and how to set them up. Here is one option. I had less space when I first set this up but I haven’t had a reason to change it. Dust collection comes from a “downdraft cabinet” which is a Rubbermaid garbage can with a 4″ drain fitting. The fence is poplar and MDF attached to the TS fence. The collection is at worst 95% without any need to collect from above. It’s a matter of controlling the air flow.

Nice construction. The fence especially is slick.
Which router lift is that! And do you like it?
Shopping for one and I’m finding little to difference between them unless I’m missing something.
Mike
Mike,
It is a Woodpeckers PRL (precision router lift) with a Porter Cable 7518 motor (old). The lift is not the current version. They dont seem to have changed that much.
The only thing I can't do above the table is change motor speed.
Mike,
I forgot to add that the other one is a 690 mounted in a modified plunge base. It acts a lift also. That is another post but it can be done. It was my 1st "lift" when I couldn't afford one.
