I’m thinking about making some stair parts. Most of it’s straight, but there will be one up-easing and I can’t figure out how to rout the curved section. Is there a trick? I planned to do it on a router table.

I assume you are making layouts of all angles. I have made curved stair parts numerous times and have found that for one off work it is better to carve it by hand. The time spent trying to set up a run especially on a twisted rail will take as much time as carving it. I make a template of the profile to match it to the piece as I carve it. I will use whatever method to hog away material including a belt sander or a power carver. It doesn't matter how you get there ,it's what it looks like when it is done.It is a challenge and alot of fun.Making a jig to hold the piece at your bottom and top angles is also a useful guide so they matchup with their respective pieces and you can visualize your progress.
