I have just learned from Jane Rees of the passing of Roy Arnold in December. Roy was one of the earliest and most influential of collectors, dealers, publishers and historians in the world of antique tools. I’ve posted a brief note from Jane on my blog. If anyone has personal stories to tell of Roy, please add them to the blog under Comments. http://toolemerablog.typepad.com/toolemera/2010/01/roy-arnold-an-era-passes.html

It's sad to hear of Roy's passing. He left us with a wealth of information on all types of antique tools and was a great source of knowledge for collectors and woodworkers alike and he will be surely missed.
