I put this in another post. Sorry to be redundant but figured it would catch the eye better as a separate post.
Last night I just read that Roy Underhill used to live out here in what I call “The Wild Wild West” . He lived in Colorado and in New Mexico. He went back East though. Just some useless trivia.
Hey, does any body know, is there a grand set of his books that one can get (maybe at a price break and complete) or do I just need to piece a set together one at a time.

"He went back East though."
Apparently, splitting green Cholla with a froe was problematic. ;-)
: )
Oh I bet he could do it alright . . . there was the little problem of what to use it for after he did I supose.
Cork screws and . . . and . . . well that's about it really.
Thank You Mr. Underhill !
A while back I was asking about a set of his books. Well this set for Kindle is now available and I bought it.

Thanks
That link is useful to me. Good deal on the kindle editions.
You can always buy Roy's books on http://www.half.com if you don't care about them being a little used. I've saved tons -o-money on Half.
Half.com
Thanks !
For those who have avoided his books on Kindle or iPad; I got a free sample and was impressed with the functionality of the Kindle e-book version. The photos enlarge easily and look great and the text is high quality. I originally decided not to get his books in digital form and was going to get the paper books but may reconsider now.
Burning Books
I've always hated the idea of burning books, so Kindle-ing has a negative connotation for me in that regard. ;-)

Think Kindle your curiosity and creativity . . . Kindle your thirst for knowledge. Wait . . . That sounds like it could get steamy. Fire and saliva. Might get kicked out of here if we post steamy posts. Or posts about steamy subjects.
Woooof ! I'm getting all hot just thinking about it . . .
. . . . . . hmmmmmm ? . . . . . what were we talking about ? . . . .
Steam
With enough steam, I suppose one might try building a bentwood house, instead of the usual post-n-beam. Best done in the summer, though. In the winter, one's timbers might be shivered.
