I’ve been looking to pick up a power planer. I found someone who was selling an old Ryobi 1300 for $60. Any opinions on whether that would be worth it just to start out (vs. waiting to pick up something like a Dewalt 735)?

If the feed rollers are good and you can get blades for it $60 is stupid cheap. Go to get it with a chunk of 2x8 to run through it.
A little late, but please say you grabbed that planer. If it feeds and cuts, it is well worth $60.
