For what it’s worth woodcraft is having a 10% off sale on thursday, as their site says –
“Don’t miss our 10% Off Everything Sale! It’s one day only: Thursday, Feb. 26. You can buy online, from the catalog or at your local Woodcraft store. Sign up here and we’ll email you a reminder on the day of the sale! “
Of course the current specials all end on Feb 24/25

Does 10% motivate one to buy something? I know they send out fliers about once per month with 10% off on selected items and I throw them away UNLESS I am ready to buy it anyway. I am a big fan of Woodcraft and buy a lot of stuff from them but their sales don't excite me. One exception was the Jorgensen cabinet clamps; now that was a sale that motivated me but I think it was Jorgensen that sponsored it, not Woodcraft.
I always get th 10% card.
Gives me a good reason to pick up things I'm procrastinating on.

The thing to watch for at Woodcraft (between now and the 200th Jorgenson anniversary, LOL) is their $5 router bit sales. They do these every few months, limited profiles, but it's a great time to get some good bits real cheap.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
I agree with the $5.00 bits for routers, and would add that an even better buy is the Whiteside bit of the month. These are considerably better quality than the green ones and if they have a bit you may buy anyway, are better value.
I don't think I would drive very far to buy at 10% off unless it was something I was going to buy anyway.
Where is the "Whiteside bit of the month" posted?? I'd love to try a couple of their bits, hear they're real good.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
They are listed in the monthly flier that Woodcraft stores send out. If you are not near a store, you should be able to access their website at: Woodcraft.com, then look in the sale protion of the site.
I have used many of the whiteside bits over the past 7 years and found them superior to most. They are not available in box stores , only woodworking specialty places.
Hope this helps.
I don't know how the prices compare to 'bit of the month', but have you looked at http://www.routerbits.com? They also offer the Whiteside bits in a fair spectrum. Though, come to think of it I do recall doing some price comparison, and deciding to buy locally since it saved time if not money... so their prices might not be the best. But it might be worth a look.
I have found whiteside bits to be worth the extra cost (if it's a profile you use a lot) plus they have enough mass so they can be reshapened.
Both these places offer good prices and service.

As others have stated those $5 woodcraft or MLCS bits are great for determining if you're really going to use a profile enough to justify $30 and up, or are using pressure treated pine for outdoor projects.
Went to "Wood Craft" today to pick up router bit ($11.99). Saw their 10% off tags on a few things so started looking around. They had a new shipment of Incra 1000SE miter gages in stock----you know the rest! The old Uni-Saw is now complete! Seems they were willing to start the 10% off everything sale a day early.
Enjoy!
