I am contemplating making the move to spraying finishes and it seems I need a better compressor than the one that came with my finish nailer. The local Menards carries a Sanborn brand compressor with specs that seem to be well suited to spraying. Does anyone have any experience with this compressor brand or have any recommendations for alternatives?
Thanks for the help – this is an amazing resource.

If you're looking at the 7HP 60 gal model, I have one and use a conversion gun with it. I have used a similar compressor for small spraying jobs (glue, paint, vinyl dye) and it works very well. Get a good air drier for it. Water in the tank and lines will kill your finish. I also use it with my die grinders, air wrenches, etc.
If you're in/near the Milw area, Harbor Freight has a sale now and the 3/8" hose reel is $39. That's a great price. If you're not near Milw, there's probably a HF store close enough to make it worthwhile. Check out their website- they have the same conversion gun I bought on sale for $49. It's a gravity feed model and I sprayed my kitchen cabinets with it.
Menard's may have a rebate on it now, too.
