Anyone used this stuff? I just tried some 180 on poplar and man it did a great job. I sanded quite a few boards with a 1/4 sheet sander, (remember those free PC sanders at HD?), and the paper did not have any dust clogs on it. They say it will last 3 time longer than regular paper. Just wondering if anyone has figured if it is worth the extra cost??
Thanks,
Bill

I've used it for anything from stripping paint to finish sanding. Great stuff. It really does last longer and I feel it is worth the little extra cost.
Bill,
I read your post last week - I believe - in passing. However, I am now in the process of refinishing the windows in our 1920's bungalow in Oak Park, IL. Well, guess what I used to help remove the last traces of paint from these ol' windows? Yep, you got it. SANDBLASTER!!
I have used the 150x in the past but not in the sense that I was comparing it to other brands of sandpaper. Today is a different story. All the 100x paper I was using was clogging up and dulling quickly. So I went out to buy 100x Sandblaster but when I got there I noticed that they had the green 60x, 80x, and the red 100x that I went for. I bought a package of each. So now I can honestly say that this sandpaper is superior to any other paper of the same grit.
So thanks to your post you saved me some time and energy. I did strip off the old paint - or most of it anyway - but you still have to go in and sand regardless. Sandblaster is a time saver.
Regards,
Phillip
Phillip,
Glad my post helped you out. I was a little sceptical about the claims to be honest, but when I tried it I was impressed. I'm working on a cherry floor lamp next and I'll see how the sandblaster works on that. Glad to hear it does good on cleaning up a painted surface. I guess I'll need to go pick up some other grits.
all the best,
Bill
