I am just about to finish a batch of very lousy yellow velcro sanding disks and I am about to order some new ones. Can somebody recommend a brand that stays attached till the sand paper is worn out ? Haven’t had much luck so far ! Thanks, C.

I'm a big fan of Bosch and Metabo discs.
you might try using an alcohol "prep pad" to clean the pad on your sander, a coat of really fine wood dust screws everything up.
Is "prep pad" the name of the product ?

If you're having trouble with
If you're having trouble with the sandpaper disks sticking to the sander's pad, the pad itself might be at fault. In my experience, the hook and loop fasteners wear down after a while and start to let the pads spin out from under the machine. Once that starts it gets worse and worse.
The solution is to purchase a new replacement pad. They're available for most sanders, in the $20 range. I had to replace the pad on my old Bosch sander several times over the course of its lifetime until it finally went belly-up.

Thanks,
The pad is brand new and I still have a problem, I tried a friend's white disc and it worked much better, unfortunately there is no brand name on it and my friend doesn't remember what they are or where he bought them.

hi c,
makita discs are also good. i have had this problem many times and the makitas helped. also, blowing or brushing off the fine dust from the velcro pad is the other half of the equation.

I like Mirka discs
I like the Mirka discs. An added tip, Store your sander WITH a disc on it to help protect the loops.
