Saw for delicate straight cut on a wood lathe

Hi All, just starting out with wood turning, spent the day turning down some really nice cedar that came down last year during a snow storm.
My question is what kind of saw do I need to make the flush finishing cut to remove the price from the knob I’ve used a.for the Chuck to hold?

Use a parting tool to go as far through as you dare, then finish the cut at the bench with any fine tooth saw, or even a knife. Using a saw at the lathe can go sideways fast.
