I’m a newbie hand tool addict. Recently, I purchased an old panel saw that needs sharpening. I think I understand the process of jointing and filing. I feel a little clueless, however, when it comes to setting the teeth. There are many different saw set tools listed on ebay. Which do you recommend? (e.g. Stanley # ____) Is there a good general purpose set tool? Can one tool set teeth for different TPI? What about setting teeth for rip as oppposed to cross cut? Put more concisely, what set tools would you purchase to cover all of your setting needs?
