Hi Jack,
We have published several articles about shop design over the years, each featuring some unique and innovative set ups. Unfortunately, the one you described doesn't ring a bell. Some that do include the Island Workshop where the author integrated his machinery, worksurfaces and infeed-outfeed support into a single unit. There was also the Roll Away Workshop, in which the author stored all his machines in rolling cabinets that fit along a workbench against one wall.
