I have a small hobby shop but have managed to produce about 400 gallons of sawdust a year. I thought of composting it but a little goes a long way in the compost pile. I could purchase hundreds of gerbils and use it as bedding but that idea has its drawbacks too. Aside from having it pile up, what are other options for disposing/using A LOT of sawdust?
Thanks,
Lyptus

Sawdust
Call your local stables and see if they want it for bedding. So long as it doesn't have any foreign bodies or shards of wood it makes a great absorbent layer under wood shavings bedding in a stable.
