Anyone know what an error 64 means on a sawstop? Mine suddenly is telling me that I don’t have the cartridge key activated. (hadn’t changed the cartridge, but took the cartridge out and replaced it and returned the key. ) Same message. So I checked the extended codes and got a 64. Needless to say, it is saturday and they are closed. I work the rest of the week, and was hoping to finish my niece’s wedding present. Oh well, Murphy is always with us.

Not sure about the error, but going to dado and back my saw would not start up. I took out the cartridge and gave it and the mating parts a blast from the compressor and it was fine. Worth a shot.
I'd try some basic things. Remove the cartridge, clean the contacts I'd use compressed air and even consider electrical contact cleaner. I'd also try unplugging the saw for 10 min or so. Saw stop is part computer, some basic computer trouble shooting can help.
The key may not be fully engaged. Sometimes, I find the last little bit to turn the key to seat the cartridge, I have to press down pretty hard to get the key to fully engage.
Thanks guys.
I have this problem too--a rapidly blinking red light, which traces to the key. I have no problem with the regular blade, just with the dado blade. We ended up contacting Sawstop, and they said to push the key down hard. This is apparently a common problem. Why I only have it with the dado cartridge I don't know. It's the same key, after all. We did blast with compressed air and then used a cleaner that enhances electrical connectivity. That worked, but you still have to push down almost hard enough to break the key.
