In the 1985 movie, “Witness,” the character named John Book (Harrison Ford) makes from soft wood a toy for a child. A wooden ball is introduced into the top of the toy, and it clatters down through a series of inclined wooden troughs until it reaches the bottom, whereupon it releases a second ball; and the process repeats.
I’m looking for scale plans for this toy or for one that works by the same mechanism. Does anyone know where I can obtain them? Thanks.

Not plans as such but many ideas for you to try to work with.

Will,
Thanks so much for this valuable link. Here, clearly, is someone obsessed with ball machines, and he can probably answer all my questions.
How did you come across this?

I love that Google search! Been there before and I remembered part of it to look for.
I couldn't find anything like it with a Google search. And I tried.
Maybe I was drunk and still could read???
I'll try that next time I use Google.
