Hi there, I am now the proud owner of an original Scan Design teak dining table. The top is in serious need of some TLC. There are scratches, water marks and raised bumps, where I’m assuming liquid penetrated the finish. I need help with how to refinish. How do I remove or level “bumps”. I tried laying paper bag down and then ironing them out. Didn’t work. Any ideas? (For some reason I can’t add picture)

Is it possible that it's veneer?
In the center, yes.
In the center, yes.
I seem to recall that if that’s a veneered area some experts advise slitting it and getting some glue under there to re-adhere it.
either a scalpel, or a needle are effective, the trick might be getting some clamping pressure in the center
Thank you
It's very simple to get clamping pressure in the center using cauls.
Thank you for you input!
If it is just a spot in the center of the table put waxed paper and a block of wood on top, span it with a 2x4 standing on the "2" and clamp it at the edges of the table to spring the block down. Should be plenty of pressure.
Thank you!
