Hello, since I do woodworking just as a hobby and I don’t have to much space, I think it’s fair that I have just the very basic tools. So for regular sharpening I have a japanese waterstone, which works fine for everything except for scraper sharpening, and you know why. It is too soft. So what should I buy? Diamond? I read contrasting opinions. Which grit?
Thanks Enrico

Some of us just draw file our scrapers, no stones. Getting a great edge is more about burnisher technique. You can bring back the edge quite a few times without having to re-sharpen.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Click here for an excellent tutorial on sharpening a scraper.
take a look at brian boggs video on sharpening the scraper or van dyke's demonstration.
