I read a post about a half-hour ago asking “What’s the new URL for this site.” Now I can’t find it, in order to reply. So, I tried using the Search function. Used the keywords new URL but got zero hits. Tried simply URL. Again, no hits. Now I know the post had URL in it! This is not a good sign.

I think you're right. I couldn't get it to return hits for anything that i tried. Probably just a growing pain, though.
It's definately not working at all for me. Niethor is spel chek.

The search is not "turned on" yet as we are still loading data into the forums. It will be active as soon as we finish importing all of the data which should be sometime later tonight or first thing in the a.m.As far as the spell check goes that should be fully functional, when you say its not working what happens? Please be as specific as possible when explaining any issues. I just ran this message through spell check and it fixed all my errorsMarkSYSOP
Mark,
This is what I get:
Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'
Server.CreateObject Failed
/dir-app/spellcheck/sproxy.asp, line 188
Invalid ProgID. For additional information specific to this message please visit the Microsoft Online Support site located at: http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp.
Best,
Seth
PS. Is it just me or have the "ratings" gone away? Very responsive!

This is what I get:
An "Internet Explorer Script Error" window appears with the following :
"An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: 18
Char: 5
Error: Access is denied
Code: 0
URL: http://www.spellchecker.net/spellcheck/script/ssrv.cgi
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?"
Then you have the option to click on the "Yes" or "No" button, nothing happens. The misspelled words are "higlithted" like a link when clicked the same message as above appears.

I'm running Internet Explorer 5.1 for Mac with these problems.
Seth
Rob,
I've got IE 5.5, could it be because I'm on AOL (SOL)?

Rob,
I answered my own question; when I "switch" over to IE after logging on to SOL, the spell check works....
