Can anyone post the web-site of the internet site that has the LN planes, etc. relatively cheap. Believe it’s in VA? Something like bestbuy, bestofbuys, etc., etc.
I have googled and tried every combination of best buy I can think of. Even searched the archives as I saw someone post it recently. Every search topic I used came up zilch!
Thanks in advance if you remember the site!

Thanks a million! I think it was you I saw post it in a thread several weeks ago. A through search didn't score in this case.
Not spending anything yet. I'm just shopping plane prices and doing some heavy comparisons. If and when I decide to go LN (been pretty satisfied with the less expensive LV's so far) I will obviously have to pull that kind of change from my Swiss bank account. I have bought used cars for less!
ha.. ha...
Thanks again and have a good week-end Steve...

LOL! Well at least you'd still have the tax shelter in Bermuda. Happy shopping, let me know about their service if you get one from them. I think it was BG who posted their site, but my memory is on leave today. Have a good one,
Steve

Sarge,
Check out Fine Tool Journal at http://www.finetoolj.com/LN for slightly better pricing and free shipping. I have had very good service from these guys.

Thanks doc. I had one of their flyers and it disappeared in last week-ends spring cleaning. Glad to see you got good service as someone had metioned a problem in a past thread. I had never hear a bad rap before that post. Hopefully just an isolated problem, as no company or person is beyond a mistake.

Dirt,
Nope, not me..did not post anything that would feed Sarge's plane addiction.....if only he would improve his grip strength ..he would not need all these different shaped holders for a chisel blade....sigh! Oh well, I guess its better he chase after a low angle block...than a low angle something else.....(he, he)

"if only he would improve his grip strength... he would not need all those different holders for a chisel blade".
Improve my grip! Hey, did I ever post that picture of myself with my custom made 48" jointer? The one where I was flattening a tree as it lay across my driveway? Took it to flat and and then ripped it down into 6 million custom made tooth-picks. Smoothed it from there with a smoother and a spoke-shave suitable for "southern bar-be-que".
I just don't have time to go running to the grocery store when I need something.

I would also recommend buying LN planes, etc from "Fine Tool Journal". They are at least 10% below suggested retail and offer free shipping in US - with quick turnaround. Their magazine is interesting too, plus they list their own auction/tool sale in every issue.
Their prices were the same or better than the recent Woodcraft 10% off sale on LN, especially as there was no shipping or sales tax.
