Selling At Craft Shows – NY and NJ area in Particular
Anyone in the NY NJ area – at times I have sold my turnings at a holiday craft show at the Morristown NJ armory. One was sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, anyone possibly know if they are still doing it? I know Artrider also does one, are there any other good quality ones that you might know of? Thanks

Philadelphia Show and Rhinebeck. They are juried shows so the quality has to be really good to get in ,and ill bet its harder now,but when I lived that way I did both of those shows a couple of times. 1970s . The quality of what i was doing then was good enough to get me in but i doubt that that quality would get me in now. Interaction with other craftspeople made it worth it. It did generate some commissions and a couple of designers and architects and that eventually became the meat and potatoes of what i did for the next 50 years. It was about the only way you could ever meet anyone doing stuff. There wasn't even this magazine. The time and cost of packing up ,making a display ,hauling everything there and most of it back though made me give it up.
Colorscape in Norwich, NY. Juried also, but high quality. Held right after Labor Day.
