If there is anyone interested in a new-condition CA Technologies Bandit Pressure Pot, I am selling mine. I bought this from Jeff Jewitt (homestead finishing) 4 months ago. I used it for 5 pots worth of finish. It’s a great pot. I am including the 15′ hoses (1 fluid, 1 air). I paid $280 for the pot and hoses. I’ll let it go for $200. Feel free to e-mail me. Reason(s) for selling?
When I remodeled my kitchen, I decided to build the cabs, and at the same time decided to take the plunge into spray finishing. Jeff Jewitt recommended this setup to me (I'm using it with an Asturo BRP), and it is awesome for medium-sized jobs. I only had to fill the pot ocassionally throughout a spraying session. (In fact, I could spray the entire kitchen for each coat without refilling the pot using Fuhr 355). Now that I'm done with the kitchen, keeping the 2 Qt pot is a bit overkill, since most of the time I build only a couple peices a year. I'm planning on replacing it with a 1 qt pressurized cup from Jeff that mounts under the gun in the traditional manner. That will be easier for me to handle.....
Your reasoning makes sense to me. Just keep in mind that the cup gun won't fit into confined spaces like your existing setup will. I've got both types of gun setups here at work and I vastly prefer the 2 Qt. set up over the 1 Qt pressure cup - although I will admit that the pressure cup is a sweet setup. I just prefer the relative ease of movement and access that the 2 Qt. setup gives me.

I have to admit that I love the manueverability of the cupless gun. Maybe if I came up with a faster cleaning regime, I would be tempted to keep it. The 15' hoses take a while to flush clean, and the pot is a bit tedious to clean as well, but I suppose if I am careful not to tip the pot over, and use the pot liners, I suppose cleaning would not be much of a problem. I think the cupless gun is the best setup for woodfinishing, and if I went with a conventional, I would regret that qt. of finish hanging from the gun. Got any tips for cleaning??
You might try switching to 5' hoses. That's how I've got my 2 Qt. pot set up. The downside is that it doesn't reach as far and consequently has to be either carried or moved often when doing large pieces. But, it's a good compromise IMO, especially if you rarily do large pieces which would need the extra 10' of hose.
PS. I know several painters who actually prefer the 5' hoses and either hold the pot with one hand or hook it onto their waist in some fashion and then it's totally portable.

With a 2 qt pressure pot you can just place a smaller container of finish inside of it for small jobs, and when your done, switch it with a container full of solvent to clean it out. No need to worry about liners and such, and it's fast.
hope this helps

That's a great idea. Thanks.
If anyone is interested, I would still like to sell it. I think I'd be happier with a gravity gun. I also have an Asturo BRP HVLP gun that pairs up nicely with the pot. I paid $530 for this setup from Jeff Jewitt. 1.2mm tip. Includes second Walcom regulator on gun and 15' fluid and air hoses. $395 and it's yours.
Do you still have the equipment?
