setting my Miter Saw blade for accuracy.

Greetings,
Wife bought me a DW716 this Holiday.
I purchased a measuring device that measures Bevel, Angle and Degrees. Has magnates so I can attach it to the saw blade.
When facing the saw…Left side I measured in 4 different areas..all says 0.00. So far so good.
The right side says 0.40
Is this acceptable or should I conceder tweeking it and hope I don’t lose the 0.00 on the Left side? I am Left handed and plan to do most cutting from the left side of the saw as Wife also let me buy a Ridgid Miter saw stand.

The truth will be told by an accurate square, kept tight to the reference edge or face and held up to the light. No light should be seen under either edge of the square.

Take a1 x4 x12" or more, cut it in half. When you put the two halfs together they will be perfect, now flop "one" over, edge wize and put them together. If it is still perfect, you are golden, if not, the back stop/fence or miter is off. This is the same test for a try square on the tablesaw.
