Hello,
Anybody have a good source for a shaker bookcase plan? Hoping for ~ 6-7′ Tall. I’ve been digging w/ very little luck. Hoping for something like Thomas Moser’s.
Also, a quick question: I see shelf pin “holes” in panels of the frame and panel. Is the Panel strong enough to support this? Doesn’t it move?
Thanks, Brad

Brad, Have you tried Norm's site ? ( New Yankee.com). He has a great book on Shaker furniture. Frank.
Frank, thanks. i checked out his site, but should check out his books too.- Brad
I did a 7' tall bookcase (sorry - can't remember where I got the plans) using pins. Construction was solid cherry for the sides and veneer plywood for the shelves. The shelves are loaded with books and have been holding up for at least 5 years now.
I wouldn't hesitate using pins for utility purposes. If you were looking for a more traditional support system you may have to use something else. Alhtouhg I love the Shaker style I guess I've never paid much attention to this. What did they use to support shelves?
