Shellac sticks are easy to find in the US and are not expensive. In the US it would not be worth the trouble to make them. Aren't they available in Spain?
no ,here we cant get them.
Since I have never made them, I'm not a good source of advice on how to do it. If I HAD to make my own, I'd get dry shellac flakes, and dry, ground pigment from an artist's supply store. Select your pigment according to what color you want the stick to be. Put the shellac flakes and pigment into a container and slowly apply heat to melt the shellac. Shellac has a low melting point. Stir the mixture to evenly distribute the pigment. I'd pour it on a glass sheet to cool into a solid mass. Scrape off pieces for use. If I were you, before I'd try this I'd try to buy it. I would think that it would be available in England, Germany, and France. You could buy from US suppliers, but I don't know what problems you'd have with different currencies, import duties, etc. If you are repairing a tiny hole, you could start with liquid shellac and add pigment to it. Apply the liquid pigmented shellac to the hole and wait for the shellac to evaporate, then apply more to build up the thickness.
thank
Here in the US, dry ground pigments can be bought from Kremer Pigments, Inc, located in New York, NY. They are an international company: http://www.kremer-pigmente.com. You will see that they have stores in Spain: Vigo and Sevilla. They also sell different kinds of shellac. Maybe they could order shellac sticks for you, and you would not have to make them.
