Has anyone ever shared (business) shop space among a number of related artisans? Something like luthiers, cabinet makers, custom furniture makers, refinishers, upholsterers and the like? I’m thinking most areas would be separate, with the possibility of some shared areas (spray booth comes to mind).
Any good or bad experiences?

I've shared shop space with a framer,I'm a cabinetmaker.
The abundance of tools is a nice feature, we shared big equipment-ts etc., but the grey area of hand tools leads to mine v. others, sometimes an important tool can go missing when you need it most. So I'd suggest a written agreement, something we didn't have(friends after all) which helps delineate tooling.
Also, if you work different hours than your shopmate, things may well be re-arranged when you get back which may or may not be a problem for you. On the plus side, a shopmate can help reduce rent and shop costs when you buy in bulk.
