I was building some Morris chair footstools and drew several variations in SketchUp first. The model uses components and wood and fabric textures. The file size is 13MB so is too large for this forum (which doesn’t accept .skp files anyway) and too large for the SketchUp warehouse. Is there a place to post files like this where others might find them useful?

Short of hosting it on your own space, I don't know of a repository for large SketchUp models. You could ZIP it up and perhaps make it small enough. It might be that the files size could be reduced reduced enough to make the SKP uploadable to the 3DWH. If you want to send me the file I'll take a look and see what could be done.
Thanks for the offer
I will send a file. I was simplifying the model to see what might be responsible for the size. ( The entire Morris chair itself is under 1 meg. ) Purging everything but one leg - linear not curved - with one component and one texture, the file is still 6.5 meg. That's what I'm sending.
The Answer
For anyone following this the problem was the texture file was too large. It was a new texture file similar to others I've used - but this one was much, much larger. Thanks Dave.
Texture data
I had a similar problem with a self portrait. All of the wrinkles and the myriad shades of grey and white added too much data. ;-)
Sharing a Sketchup Model
If you're looking to just showcase your project, I'd check out Sketchfab. They can be described as "YouTube for 3D models." They will allow you to share your model in 3D right in your browser.
