Like a lot of people, I’ve got a pile of dull 10″ table saw blades. The only place I’ve found in Toronto who will sharpen them was $3 to $3.50/tooth.
I couldn’t believe it! I can get a brand new Forest blade at Lee Valley for less.
What do you folks pay for sharpening? Any experience with folks around Toronto? Anybody know of even a mail order service in Canada?

Piccioni, check the pricing again, I'm pretty sure you got the price for replacing a tooth. Fees do run based upon the number of teeth but a 40 tooth blade should run in the neighborhood of twenty bucks or so.

Thanks, guys
I phoned the place back and ended up speaking with the same person who gave me the $3 to $3.50 price yesterday.
I presented her with the information you guys gave me, and got through her to talk to somebody who knew what he was talking about.
He quoted me $12.75 for a 40 tooth blade, $16.50 for an 80 tooth blade. He said she must have confused the cost for replacing a tooth with the cost of sharpening.
If anybody is interested the place is
BC Saw and Tool Inc.

I'm gonna give them a try next week.
I've been running millwork shops in the TO area for years now, so I know all the players:
Call Steve at Arbor Tools (416) 736-8736 in North York (Keele & Finch) He does the best job I've seen. Only place I will send my Forrest blades (other than to kitchener or something...) He also carries great blades (Royce-Air). I've toured his shop- doesn't look like much, but he has top-notch CNC grinding machines.
BC Saw (416) 251-2236 in Etobicoke, grinds too much off each tooth. Have been doing it for 10 years.
Dominion Saw (905) 270-2200 in Mississauga, is respectable.
Sharpco (905) 761-6888 in Concord also is reasonable. Carries Dimar blades, which are a good value.
Angelo's Electric (416) 743-5434 in North York also used to do a lot of my blades. Also Carry Dimars.
Should be paying more than $10/blade for a 10"/60T unless you need new tips or straightening. All the above will do router bits as well, but most have to send spiral bits out (Arbor does them in-house for other companies)The older I get, the better I was....
Sweet!
Thanks!
Try 7HiilsSharpening.com. I've had good luck with them and they are very resonable.
