We need more information....
The group needs more information to answer your question. I'm guessing you mean a hand-saw? What type of hand-saw? What is it doing that indicates it's dull? Give us a description of what you're doing, what kind of saw, etc.
If a handsaw go to vintagesaws.com for info and equipment
AMO2:
Like Forestgirl, I need more information to help you. If it is a handsaw, vintagesaws.com has a tutorial on sharpening plus they sell the files, saw sets, etc. you will need to get started. Also do an internet search on handsaw sharpening. There are YouTube videos, plus tons of additional information. Also Lie-Nielsen has saw sharpening videos on their website. If the saw has value, you really need to consider a sharpening service.

saw sharpening
Hand saws are typically sharpened with triangular files. Here's a video specific to DT saws:

There's lots of reference material available on sharpening saws. One you might find useful is the 30-page booklet, "Keeping the Cutting Edge: Setting and Sharpening Hand and Power Saws" by Harold H. Payson, published by Wooden Boat Books.
