When sharpening my bench chisels primary bevel on a slow speed grinder, should I run the chisels a few passes on my stones before going to do my secondary bevel? At least to remove the wheel marks, or is it ok to just start the secondary bevel right off of the machine? I have a Tormek T-7 and use 4000 and 8000 grit Norton stones and a Veritas Mk2 honing guide. Thanks for any and all advice.
