Does anyone know where I can find some info on where I can get bandsaw blades sharpened locally? I live in Charlestown Indiana but figure I’ll have to go to Louisville Kentucky.
Thanks

I don't know about you, but my band saw has 2460mm blades (for a 14" machine) Each blade has 300 teeth more or less, all very high carbon steel.
The thought of sharpening each one just fills me with dread.
A brand new 3TPI 1/2" blade costs me NZD 35.
I have never tried to have my blades sharpened, but TBH, the additional trip to fetch the sharpened blade alone is worth $35 to me.
Better to recycle the old blade and buy a new one IMHO.
What are they, $15.
It's never been worth it to me to have one sharpened. Even carbide blades. I've seen too many horrible reviews about the quality of cut, or bands breaking, after sharpening.
Sorry I can't help. But I just chuck the old ones.
I have a totally different experience. I have both a 36" and a 14" bandsaw. Both cut better with blades I've resharpened than they do with new blades. The 36" saw's blades are 18'7" long; not cheap to replace and must be custom made. I've put a pretty long response on a similar thread not too long ago. Don't have the time to repeat it right now.
It cost me $79 to buy a new ¾" 3tpi hook tooth 111"blade. In my case, I'd be willing to spend 30$ish to sharpen or do it myself if that was feasible.
It cost me 30 ish $ to buy a new 3/4 inch X 125 inches .
I wish that were what it is here but I have to order it. Hopefully I'll find someplace that makes them around me.
Why not order ?
As for purchasing a bandsaw blade, I purchase mine by mail order but from a local maker. 103”, 3/8", carbon steel, 3 tpi skip tooth, for I think $18. I use a Dremel type tool to resharpen with a small cut off blade and a light touch. I touch each tooth on the outside of the blade. After doing this the blade doing that the blade cuts well enough, doesn't wander. Not quite like new but still a good blade.
I have tried the Timberwolf blade and while the cut is pretty nice, it lost it's edge pretty quickly. I would consider getting carbide blades in the future.
Issue 300 Shop Tips Has a submission from a fellow who has built a jig to sharpen his own, still on the machine. I haven't tried it but the video looks like some slick trickery.
Sharpening the teeth is only part of the battle, the teeth also need to be set.
Setting is necessary, but not every time you sharpen. You can get several sharpenings (it doesn't take much metal removal unless you've hit a nail) before you need to reset.
I'm aware, I was simply pointing out, that the YouTube DIY sharpen you blade on the saw crowd, don't often address setting the teeth or sharpening angle for that matter
