I have the Glen Lucas GL-1 French-curved negative-rake scraper and invite sharpening advice from users. The bevel angle on mine on receipt changes plane as it transitions from the straight tip to the curved side (it gets steeper). Is that a feature? Or is it intended to diminish with repeated sharpenings. Using an 8″ grinding wheel, the bevel will hold entirely across the tip and about two-thirds of the way around the curve. Appreciated!

I use about a 65 degree included angle on mine. Top angle 25 and bottom 40. As long as you grind tangent to the curves it should remain consistent. Once the top angle is established you only need to regrind the lower angle to refresh the burr. This tool is only for a light finishing cut as the burr will last for maybe a minute before needing a touch up.
Here is a good article.
