Hey there,
First time I use this section.
If I dedicate one brush to shellac, I’ve read that I can leave it to dry and then simply leave it in DNA for about an hour to soften up the next time I use it. Is this true?
If so, I guess I would then use that DNA the next time I dissolved some shellac to recycle it.
I’ve also read that there are all kinds of different types of DNA. They differ according to denaturant (gas, diesel, toluene, etc). Are any that are more recommended than others?
Thanks
Dan

Yes, you can let a brush harden with the leftover shellac on the bristles after you've used it, and then soak it in denatured alcohol to soften it up the next time you need it.
Thanks Bill,
It's always nice to confirm something before maybe wasting.
