shellaced black walnut floors

here’s one of the shellac efforts about six months old ( I really should have run a dust mop across everything first, but if you can see the wood you’ll note that my dog has made deep gouges in the black walnut but left no scratches.

That dark floor reminds me of the ballroom in Leeds Castle, which has an ebony floor.
