Shop storage and design is an area no dobt this group can address. I am looking for ideas, suggestions etc on a “cart” that would hold hardwood and sheetgoods, be mobile, and hold a “goodly” amount of wood, be stable, and not atake up a world of space..
Also, whats working in shops as far as overall storage…hand power tools, extension cords, hand tools…any great brainstorms?

Legal size file cabinets on a dolly hold a lot of my hand power tools.
They have full extension drawers that latch and lock, and they can handle the weight. You can usually pick up good old sturdy file cabinets fairly cheap.

At HD or Lowe's, in the area where they have the galvanized plates for trusses, they have a heavy steel bracket that fits over a 2x4 with a leg that stick down maybe 2" that has a 1/2" hole drilled in it. I drilled it out to 5/8" and used 2 of them to hold the 5/8" rod axle under my little yard trailer. The trailer is made all out of treated lumber. But, I use the trailer more to haul my wood and other heavy tools around here and there. I like it cause the bed is only 8" off the ground. I've had 500 lbs in it. I pull it behind my riding mower.
