Hey guys I think I about got everything I need for my shop. Did I just say that ? does the spending ever end. I just got some more stuff today. I have a 3 hp Jet table saw, an 18 inch Jet band saw a 3hp Delta shaper w/powerfeed A Jet drill press, Dewalt planer and 12 inch miter and a lot of smaller things we all have. Today I spent another 2 grand let me know if you think I did alright.
I was going to buy 2 Grizzly 1 1/2 hp shapers yesterday so I could do cabinets more efficiently and than I came across an add for a couple of Jet shapers (3 hp) for $500 a piece. So I got a hand full of money and drove 4 hrs thru the mountains during a bad storm. This is what I came home with. A almost new 3 hp Jet shaper and what has got to be the hugest powerfeed (Jet) I have ever seen. The other shaper was not a Jet as he said but it was a 3 hp Lobo (Lobo????) I have heard of the brand but i dont know how good it is. He said it was the exact same as the Jet it does look the same and it works great. Is Jet to Lobo as ford is to mercury?? I also got a 1 1/2 hp Jet dust collector barely used and a Deltal 18 inch drum sander ( is the sander a pretty cool Machine, it appears to be an awsome addition to the shop?) I also got a lot of smaller things shaper bits and a bench mount delta sander. I paid $2000 did I do OK.
Thanks Sincerely yours Brian

What was the location of these great deals? I could certainly use a 3HP shaper for $500.

Hello Lee I saw them in the Nickell, a little classified publication The guy did not have anymore. Your really going to hate Californians when you here this. I drove from Red Bluff Ca. to Klamath falls Oregon to get the shapers. Forgive me. Good luck to you Sincerely yours Brian

You're right, Brian. I hate Californians, even though I used to be one. You turkey! Getting ALL the good stuff for yourself.
Actually, you made a great score, guy. More power to you. Let us know how well it works as you get it up and running. Go on, rub salt into the wounds.
I am familiar with the Nickell (sp?).
bigdog: Forgive me.
Well, all right, this time - just don't ever let it happen again. ;)

Bigdog,
Is that why they call you "bigdog"? Heck yeah you did great, sounds like you got the stuff for about 25 cents on the dollar. Way to go.
