I have just purchased a long board sander and would like to buy a roll of silicone carbide wet/dry sandpaper. So far the only sandpaper that I have found to fit this 16″ long sander is a roll of aluminum oxide.
I intend to use it to sand a pentrating oil into a wood floor surface.
Any ideas?

I don't understand exactly what you're looking for, but try Klingspor. They have almost every kind of sandpaper. http://www.woodworkingshop.com
Thanks
David,
Interesting idea but unless the machine is specifically set up to work in a wet environment, you are going to gum the machines workings up in no time or worse. The finish is going to be splattered all over the inside of the machine and then harden.
You might check with the factory to see if the machine is capable of doing that before you void your warrantee on what is probably an expensive machine.
Not a problem. You run the machine at a very low speed. It is an in line sander and very little penetrating oil is put on the wood. So, there is no splatter. It works very well. My wife, who is much better than I at searching on the internet, found a source for the sandpaper I am looking for.
Thanks, David
