I’m thinking of buying SketchList 3D CAD software but would like to know if it’s a good product. Does anybody use it and what is it like to use? Does it live up to the product description on the SketchList website?

I never heard of this one until I read your question.
I looked into it and would be interested in the hobby version if it included all of the joinery and contour tools. There's no way I would pay $850 to pick up some tools to allow for modeling joinery and contours that a hobbyist can and will use in the shop. The various reports hold no value to me as a hobbyist so they're not worth the extra money either.
By virtue of their pricing model I'd bet they are geared to support the pro shop and support, if/when needed, to the hobbyist would be thin (this is even hinted at in that the hobby version only gets email support).
For the money I'll keep chipping away at learning Sketchup and using my pencil and notepad.
I haven't heard of this product. I use the free version of SketchUp (2017).
I don't have any idea about SketchList. But you can try out SketchUp and Fusion 360.
If you are a hobbyist like user-7664245 and Panorama Woodworks you would probably find that SketchUp 2017 Make will allow you to do everything you need and more. You might find that SketchUp Free (a browser based version) would satisfy your needs, too. The Make version does allow you to add extensions that make it easier to do some modeling operations as well as give you options for cut lists and other output types.
