I’m still using Sketch up 6 (“Pro”) which I paid $495 for in 2004 or 2005 (my how time flies!). I’m thinking of upgrading to version 7 pro for the Bezier curve capability.
My question is to anyone who may have upgraded from version 6 to version 7. Do you find any greater usefulness in version 7 as far as designing furniture is involved?
I assume the Bezier curve feature is useful for creating shapes of any curvature.
I’d appreciate any feedback.

Rich-
I believe Bezier curves are available only through a plugin, even in version 7.

Don,Yes, I see now those functions are only in the "layout" "presentation" program. But there is a plug-in that allows Beziers within Sketchup itself?Rich
Rich, I just wrote and then lost a response to you. Here goes again. Yes, there is a plugin for Bezier curves and as Donald says, it isn't native to version 7.1. It would make it easier to draw some curves. I used it today for the attached image. Drop me an e-mail and I'll send you the plugin. I'll find the link and post it, too.
I think there are good reasons to upgrade though. You'll get a much better Layout and there are a bunch of improvements in SketchUp itself.
