   SketchUp Files

   Hi Greg,

   You wouldn't have authorization to distribute the PDF file to others but you can put it on another computer of your own  so you have access to it for reference.

   As to the SketchUp files, you can certainly save them to a thumb drive and transfer them to another computer. You'll want to save them to some place that is quickly accessible for saving so that the autosaved SKB file can be generated so either use the default Save location or set up another location on the computer and then copythe SKP file to the thumb drive when you want to open the file on your other machine.

   Another thing to consider is saving the file to a Dropbox or other online storage location. As long as you have access to the Internet, you can get at the SKP file from any machine. You could also upload to the 3D Warehouse if you wish. If you don't want to share the files with the world, make sure you set it up to be private. You can also share the SKP file with specified others if you wish.

   The only advantage is that you can upload to the warehouse directly from SketchUp and the file can be available to others. If you don't want your SketchUp files out in the public domain, though, you might not want to go that route./ As I said before, you can set sharing permssions so it isn't really public. If you don't have any trouble keeping track of your thumbdrive, it'll be fine. If you have your computers on a  network, you could also establish a folder that can be shared ebtween the machines and access the file from either computer. the benefit of that is that you only have one copy of the file going.

   DropBox might work well for sharing Sketchup drawings between computers if the coffee shop has wireless Internet. Might connect by cellular too, I don't know.
