I’m trying to design a head board with a arc on the top piece. How can I draw the arc on sketchup? I’m not sure if I’m explaining myself right, I wish I can show you what I mean. It’s a cap piece like a stile on a raised panel door but with a curve.

The circle/arc tool should do what you want. Pick start point, end point, then place the belly of the curve. It's the tool button that looks like 3/4 of a circle.
Yes, I tried that but I'm trying to make a solid piece so I can use the push/pull tool.
To use push/pull the entity or polygon must be completely enclosed. Try closing off the arc with several lines then try push/pull
