I’m a new Sketchup junkie and have been working for several days on a model for a fireplace and mantle. Today, for some reason, the model has started to act weird when I use the orbit tool. Parts of the model that are moving close to the front (from my point of view) are showing a stretched perspective. It’s as if the perspective is being distorted like through a “fish-eye” lens. This is not happening with anything else I’ve drawn, or when I open models from other folks. I’ve looked at all the settings I can find and can’t find anything unusual.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Does it continue to do this after you Zoom Extents? It kind of sounds like your viewpoint is just too close to the front faces/edges of the model.

Check your field of view setting. Go to "Camera" and down to "Field of View" in the menu. Left click it, then look in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. Make sure it shows around 35.00. If not, just type it in. That might fix your problem.

If Zoom Extents and changing the FOV don't help (you can also enter a 35mm lens focal length for this. Try 50mm or the default 67mm), try shifting to Parallel Projection and then back to Perspective under the Camera menu.
Thank you all for the suggestions. I checked the field of view and it was around 95! After resetting to 35, everything went back to normal. Thanks again!! I'm a Mac user and today my two button, scroll wheel mouse arrives. Yippee!!
