I really need the dado attachment for my skillsaw. Does anyone know of anywhere that still makes these things. I’d apreciate any input. Thanks

Been professionally woodworing in factories for over 35 years and have been involved in purchasing the last 10 years so I get paid to read catalogs and search the web and have never seen a dado blade for a circular saw. The arbor is deliberately made so no can put a dado on. The only portable circular saw to offer a dado is the Wappat from the 40's. Use a router or multiple passes with your saw.
I have a dado blade for a skilsaw. It's an oldie to be sure, but a wierd one. Made by Amerock (or some other hardware mfg- maybe Knap and Vogt) I believe. Maybe back in the 50's. Certainly not Carbide tipped. It looks like a skillsaw blade that has been seiously bent. I think it was intended to cut the dados for inset shelf clip pilaster stripss. I aint ever used it, in fact, can't even find it to confirm the maker. I bought it at a yard sale, mostly because of it's gizmocity. Never seen another one. Eric in Calgary
