My wife and I are downsizing and moving into a wonderful smaller home. The downside to downsizing is that my shop area is being cut in half. This has meant eliminating or combining several of my power tools. One is my miter saw. I don’t have room in the new shop for a conventional sliding compound miter saw with the rails extending out the back. I believe this leaves me with only two options: Bosch’s gliding arm saw (very expensive) or Festool’s front rail saw (extremely expensive).
Does anyone have experience with or an opinion about either of these?
Thank you,
Bob Horne

Bosch vs. Festool
I like the design of the Bosch more than the Kapex, but I haven't actually used either of them.
I have the kapex
I cannot speak to the Bosch, but I can the Kapex. I've had mine since it came out. I really like it. it's light weight (only matters if you are going to move it on ocasion). It's dead on, and I don't know if the bosch has the double lasers that are tunable, that makes a very nice feature. I own a few festools and they are not cheap but you get what you pay for and the cust support is fantastic. The ease of dialing in the compound angle is so easy and you are good to .5 degree's with critical detents for crown if you do a lot of that. Anyway had it long time and would get it again.
