I have a 3 hp professional Sawstop and was considering adding one of the sliding tables, I rip a lot of full sheets of ply. Does anyone have experience with either of the sliding tables? Was it worth the expense?
Thanks

Did a search before I posted. Not finding anything about user experience with the Sawstop sliding table
Search "sliding table" and there is a 2015 article on a sliding table for a Sawstop, but the thread MJ referred to is not there, at least on the first two pages of results.
I have found the FW search function to suck pretty bad, at least when it comes to finding discussion threads. I've searched for threads I started, using the exact title of the thread, and the search function can't find them. Ben Strano, any comment on this?

Thank You!
I considered getting one, but it takes up too much space for me. A track saw was the answer for cutting sheet goods; infinitely adjustable, depth of cut 2+”, pushing the saw across the sheet vs pushing a whole sheet, and chip-free perfectly straight cuts. I throw a piece of XPS foam on my assembly table and cut away.
I don't have the space and I don't produce the volume to justify one (SawStop accessory), but I made an infeed support, and that together with stock guides (I got the Jessum Clear Cut) make it much easier to handle unwieldy sheet goods. I also made a panel sled which has been quite useful. I still can't rip a .75 inch 4x8 (I don't have a track saw and just use a circular), but smaller stuff that used to be unwieldy is unwieldy no more.
It doesn't answer your question, but it might help solve your problem.
Here's the infeed support thing -- I'm finding this very useful

From what gather from the on-line installation manual of the large SawStop sliding table, you cannot to rip full sheets of plyw’d. Page 8 of the manual shows the capacities of the sliding table mounted on the various SawStop saws. If I am reading the chart correctly, 70” is the maximum rip length. See:

I have the smaller sliding table on my ICS and it will not rip a full sheet of plyw'd.
I run a production wood shop; we love our SawStop slider. Totally worth the expense. We’re mostly hardwoods though, we don’t cut up a lot of sheet goods.
