Howdy.
I’m working in a very small shop, maybe 15×10 feet. I open the garage door and have as much as I need but with winter am sticking a little closer to the structure. As is the dust. I’m mostly concerned with my table saw, but have router, soon to be router table, jigsaw, drills, sanders etc. I’m seeing a Delta AP300 ( I think that’s it, basically a blower attached to a bag) or a shop vac type affair will be about all I have room for. I’ve seen a “turbo trash can lid” ( Veritas-Lee Valley)that has you use a shop vac with trash can in between to filter out big chunks and you left with the smaller particles in the shop vac itself. In effect a 2 stage filter. This may be too big.
The convenience of the Delta is appealing as it’s it compactness. Buit does it work? I may not have much choice as that’s a real small shop! Anything I can roll up and hide gets high marks from me.
Thanks,
Warren

Notrix,
I've got a small shop also and decided to hook up a 2" shop vac directly to the new TS for better collection. I took a four inch to two inch adapter and made the whole thing work. Except, it ain't working. The shop vac is working away and the dust is sitting in the bottom of the TS..and blowing out the front. What ever solution you decide on take a look at the thread below...there may be a world of truth to the statement.
